Continuum
About the Company
Continuum Arts plays an active role in engaging the North County San Diego arts + wellness community. We are known for our artist development programs, movement training, performance productions, and community workshops. Our platform is a place for the artists and the community to connect, create and collectively heal together.
Continuum debuted in 2018 at the Front & Main Dance Festival in Temecula. Since then, the company has been showcased at RAW Artists San Diego, San Diego Dance Theatre’s Young Choreographers Showcase, Palm Springs Dance Festival, Oceanside Museum of Art and LUX Art Institute, Hill Street Country Club, Mira Costa College, California Center of the Arts, San Diego Democratic Party Fundraiser Gala and Rising Arts Leaders: Arts Fest. In 2019, Continuum produced an evening-length show titled EMERGENCE in partnership with Mojalet Dance Collective's initiative to support independent artists and companies.
2020 pushed Continuum to pivot, and Director/Choreographer Alyssa) Ajay Junious began to experiment with dance filmmaking since she has created various films available to view on OnDemand on Vimeo.
Building an arts collective where artists, educators and movers can learn, grow, and create in community
Signature Programs
Art in Conversation is an arts engagement series where we host events, workshops and exhibitions. We collaborate with artists to create original interdisciplinary works that feature topics centered around culture, identity, spirituality and social justice. The series include facilitated discussions for viewers to engage with artists and learn more about the creative process. Art in Conversation is also an opportunity for us artists to interact with viewers and ask them questions that invite them to respond to the work as it is being created, adapted, performed and/or showcased.
