About the Company
Continuum Dance Theater plays an active role in engaging the North County San Diego arts community. The company is known for its artist development programs, movement training, performance productions, and community workshops. Its platform creates space for artists and community members to connect, create, and collectively heal.

Founded in 2015 by Alyssa “Ajay” Junious, Continuum began as an independent choreographic project. The company made its debut at San Diego Dance Theatre’s Young Choreographers Showcase, where it received the Audience Choice Award.

Since then, Continuum has been presented at a range of venues and festivals, including DanceRAW Artists San Diego, Palm Springs Dance Festival, Oceanside Museum of Art, LUX Art Institute, Hill Street Country Club, MiraCosta College, California Center for the Arts, San Diego Dance Theatre’s Young Choreographers Showcase (2018), Art Produce, Democratic Party Fundraiser Gala, and Rising Arts Leaders: Arts Fest.

In 2019, Continuum produced its first evening-length work, EMERGENCE, in partnership with Mojalet Dance Collective as part of an initiative supporting independent artists and companies.

In 2020, the company pivoted in response to changing circumstances, and Ajay began exploring dance filmmaking. Since then, she has created a series of films available for viewing on our Youtube Channel.

2026, Continuum Dance Theater remains a project-based performance company.

The company is currently open for Fall 2026–2027 bookings. For inquiries, please email info@continuumartspilates.com
Building an arts collective where artists, educators and movers can learn, grow, and create in community
Signature Programs
Art in Conversation is an arts engagement series where we host events, workshops and exhibitions. We collaborate with artists to create original interdisciplinary works that feature topics centered around culture, identity, spirituality and social justice. The series include facilitated discussions for viewers to engage with artists and learn more about the creative process. Art in Conversation is also an opportunity for us artists to interact with viewers and ask them questions that invite them to respond to the work as it is being created, adapted, performed and/or showcased.
